Movie – Toy Story 4

Movies Nov 22, 2019

Overview:

Toy Story continues right where the 3rd movie leaves off with the new child Bonnie. Bonnie is having some problems adjusting to school as most kids do at her age. She can make a new friend, one that is not your typical type. This new friend is what the plot of the movie revolves around.

Woody… poor Woody is in denial and quite a bit of depression throughout and it truly shows. Especially when they do a flashback to 9 years ago about his girl, he had a hard on for, still does. He doesn’t like the cowgirls… since he can’t handle the spunk they bring forth. He wants a more traditional and submissive women, one that you can break physically and pass it off as, alternative form of love. Woody still likes to stay strong to his owner and try and assist any way he can without being exposed as a walking, talking toy.

Visuals/Music:

As with any Pixar film, there is a high attention to detail to every scene. The animation is top notch throughout the film. From the rain, to the clouds and sunshine, nothing looks bad, it’s all very detailed and clear. It’s not saying much as the films Pixar have made, even over a decade ago, are still some of if not the best animated films in terms of animation. Pixar is known for its animation and it is no different here.

Just like the animation, the music throughout is exactly what one would expect. The music and sound effects suit the moment and keep the viewer immersed in the film. Not much to say except there are no complaints.

Final Thoughts:

Although the story was very simple there was a nice message they pushed across. Along with a decent amount of hidden jokes for both adults and kids. It was a fun watch and would recommend it to anybody wanting a movie that will provide them with a good time.

Pixar is a company that never ceases to amaze in terms of quality improvements from film to film. They are not always leaping but more of a steady progression. If a person were to watch it to see how the improvements were from the last to this one, there would not be any disappointment.
