Anime – Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka III [TV]
Overview:
Another round with bell and his ever-growing harem. This season covers abnormal monsters. Ones that don’t quite fit into the norm. Think of them as that one guy who melted salt and poured it on the innocent slugs and critters. They just doing their own thing but of course everybody else aint having it so he they are forced into absolute secrecy. Then when another person be it the kids or adults, he be done for.
It adds more depth and lore to monsters in the labyrinth as a whole. Alongside more character growth for bell. There is more toying around with Bell by the Gods and setups for what’s to come in the later seasons.
Visuals/Music:
Visuals are still on point throughout. They have that strange type of simplistic yet detailed look with the lighter color scheme. I really like the way the show looks and especially the art that follows alongside it. The animation in fights is good enough and suits the style of art they are going for. Nothing feels out of place and it flows well without much more a person could want from it. At times it can look a bit cheaper in comparison to some of the other anime that are coming out but iah, I feel this style will age a lot better than a lot of the others.
Music is good with opening and endings that are pleasant to listen to. Background osts and other effects meet and keep the viewer immersed. The way its done with the story helps make the eps feel shorter than they actually are. They go by quick and before you know it the ending song will be playing.
Final Thoughts:
The most interesting part of the season for me was the conflicting emotional views that were put forth by all sides. Monsters hate this new group, humans and the gods pretty much all hate them. As it was stated though, the hatred is unfounded since from their perspective the humans are doing the same exact thing to them, so they are left with no choice but to reciprocate back. Plenty of real-life examples that it can be loosely or directly correlated with.
I would recommend it to those who enjoyed the previous seasons. I find it better than the second season in terms of pacing with a more enjoyable story and arc being told. It still continues the strong sense of what it was prior without changing much which isn’t a style for everybody. For those that checked out the first season and were not enjoying it, this would not feel any better. Brestia isn’t shown as much and is more toned down for better or worse.
